UFC President Dana White is known for being an avid gambler. He claims that several Las Vegas casinos don’t accept his business because he has won too much playing high-stakes blackjack. Reports from September claimed that White accumulated about $25m in losses at the Red Rock Casino.
The 56-year-old appeared on the Andrew Schultz “Flagrant” podcast recently and explained an idea he has about hosting a live special on Netflix. He would go into a casino with a $30m bankroll and bet $1m per hand to see who comes out on top, him or the house.
he’s also currently working on a documentary about Las Vegas
He described that the broadcast could start with a pre-fight-like entrance and show real-time odds during the action. White said he’s also currently working on a documentary about Las Vegas, which is a separate project.
White revealed that he has been on a big baccarat winning streak since the start of September. He refused to disclose how much money he has made during the run.
White was also asked during the podcast about the recent UFC betting scandal involving Isaac Dulgarian. The MMA organization’s president said that they were aware of the suspicious betting activity before the fight.
The UFC’s lawyer called the fighter and asked if he owed anyone money or if he had an injury. Dulgarian denied that anything was wrong and proceeded to lose the fight. White immediately called the FBI after the event.
